POSSE is looking for its next group of talented Scholars: motivated, dynamic, actively engaged students who believe they belong at the nation’s best colleges and universities. Chamblee Charter HS can nominate up to 10 current juniors to begin the rigorous Posse Scholar selection process and to potentially win a four year full tuition scholarship to either Bard College, Boston University, Brandeis University, The College of Wooster, The George Washington University, or Texas A&M University. Please review the POSSE website and explore the colleges at possefoundation.org. Research our six college and university partners. Interested students should be willing to commit to one of the colleges mentioned during the application process and must apply Early Decision. Nominees should be able to demonstrate leadership and academic potential. This is a Merit-based leadership scholarship. This is not a minority, low-income, or need-based scholarship.
Interested juniors need to submit a resume that includes the following information.
First and Last Name
Sex/Gender
home address
personal email address
cell phone number (& home #, if applicable)
A short essay explaining the following.
1) Explain leadership skills and ability to work with others.
2) Why would you be a good fit for the POSSE college/university selected?
Resume and essays should be submitted via email to Mrs. Claudman @ Wylene_Ward-Claudman@dekalbschoolsga.org in the Counseling Office Friday, May 3, 2024, email submissions will be accepted until 11:59 pm.
